Croatian Chamber of Economy opened a branch office in Mostar on Monday, within the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH). Croat member of Bosnia's tripartite Presidency, Dragan Covic, said on this occasion that Bosnia was grateful for all help that Croatia provided on Bosnia's Euro-Atlantic integration path.

Covic emphasized the importance of enhancement of economic relations of the two countries through opening of representative offices. He also noted that opening of this office in Mostar means one more form of cooperation between Croatia and BiH, and he expressed hope that foreign-trade exchange of the two countries would exceed the amount of EUR two billion.  

Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrej Plenkovic, also attended the opening ceremony, stressing that relations with BiH are one of the prioritized foreign-policy goals of Croatia.  

“Croatia continues providing support to Bosnia, especially its European road, and is committed to political cooperation in spirit of good-neighbourly relations as well as to further strengthening of economic relations,” underlined Plenkovic, adding that the priorities include quality political, economic and cultural relations. “…and I believe that within this year and a half we demonstrated both enviable engagement and enviable results”.  

Chairman of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Luka Burilovic, emphasized that Bosnia was among five most important foreign-trade partners of Croatia, adding that opening of the branch office in Mostar was one more step towards enhancement of export orientation of Croatia's economy.
