Bosnia can expect the Macedonian scenario in terms of arrests of criminals running the state, a representative in Bosnia's House of Representatives Sasa Magazinovic told N1. Speaking about Social Democratic Party's candidate for Bosnia's Presidency member, Magazinovic said that Denis Becirovic has won the most candidacies so far.
“How fast will these arrests take place depends on us, alone. As far as I am concerned, it should happen immediately,” concluded Magazinovic who is also member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
N1 asked when the next House of Representatives’ session would be held, to which he replied: “Tomorrow is an extraordinary session of the House of Representatives, the topic of which is the EU's report on Bosnian institutions which is not positive and shows that everything we've been told by the ruling majority about Bosnia's progress over the past three years, was false. There is no progress.”
Magazinovic was asked to comment on some media speculation about the Greek scenario in Bosnia to which Magazinovic said he thinks the Macedonian scenario, where the previous ruling party refused to step down from the Government after losing the election, is more likely in Bosnia.
“The Strasbourg told us two things: the first is to break all links between crime and politics, and the other is that we will not get the EU candidate status while this Government is in office,” Magazinovic said. “The process of European integration of Bosnia is an example of non-transparency. The European integration process should be the meeting point for everyone from both Bosnian entities, the Brcko District, the media, and the NGOs. It is also necessary to achieve cooperation between the Government and the opposition.”
Magazinovic also touched upon the amendments to Bosnia's Election Law, which are required by the Constitutional Court's decision which said that equal representation of all peoples must be ensured.
“I think the Croat Democratic Union (HDZ BiH), the Democratic Action Party (SDA) and the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats’ (SNSD) goal is to enter the general election without any rules. Their goal is to spread chaos during the election,” Magazinovic said.
Speaking about SDP's candidate for Bosnia's Presidency member, Magazinovic said the party is in the process of electing its candidate. So far, SDP member Denis Becirovic has the largest number of candidacies. Magazinovic claims that the party will enter the final phase of the election of their Presidency candidate after the May holidays.
