Croatia's authorities ignored all efforts that Bosnia and the European Commission (EC) put with an aim to establish dialogue and solve this problem of mutual interest, said the Chairman of Bosnia's Council of Ministers (CoM) Denis Zvizdic, commenting the Peljesac Bridge construction contract that Croatia signed on Monday with a Chinese investor.
Zvizdic's statement followed a series of other reactions by Bosnia's officials, who expressed discontent with the information that Croatia resumed activities towards final implementation of the aforementioned project.

The CoM chairman reminded of sending a letter in September last year to the Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, the EC President Jean-Claude Juncker and the European Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Cretu, whom he informed that Bosnia's institutions never gave consent for construction of the Peljesac Bridge and that determining of the land and maritime state borders remains a necessary prerequisite for implementation of the project.
“I emphasized back then, and I underline it now again, that construction of the Peljesac Bridge is of a great importance to Bosnia and Herzegovina, because it directly refers to its sovereignty and rights it is entitled to as a sovereign maritime state”, said Zvizdic, announcing a new note for the PM Plenkovic and the EC's officials.
He assessed the signing of the construction contract as an unfair move which does not respect interests of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
