Bosnian Presidency receives Slovenian President

Bosnia’s tripartite Presidency received the Slovenian President Borut Pahor with whom they discussed the good neighbourly relations and praised the trade exchange. They stressed that Bosnia’s EU membership is the country’s main priority.

Paroh, who is visiting Sarajevo amid the ninth Sarajevo Business Forum, spoke with the Presidency members about the economic relations in the country, and the interlocutors concluded that the trade exchanged has improved over the years and become more balanced.  

They expressed joint commitment to the improvement of good neighbourly relations and regional cooperation concerning the European perspective, security, and migration within the current initiatives, processes and forums.  

Interlocutors stressed their satisfaction with the intensity of high-level visits as well as the development of the political dialogue between Bosnia and Slovenia.  

Bosnia’s Presidency members familiarized Paroh with the current political situation in the country and expressed gratitude to the Republic of Slovenia for its support to Bosnia’s European integration process.  

They also expressed Bosnia’s commitment to European integration and fulfilment of all the necessary condition for obtaining the candidate status and then becoming the full member of the EU, which is Bosnia’s priority when it comes to the country's foreign policy.

The ninth Sarajevo International Business Forum (SBF), which hosts a large number of officials and business people from the region and the world, commenced today in Sarajevo, giving them an opportunity to get acquainted with the business and investment opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the countries of the region.

The focus of this year’s Forum is the joint solution to the use of potentials in the field of energy, education, IT, agriculture and tourism. The aim of the Forum is to link and present all the natural and human resources of the region and to open the foreign markets to Bosnian and regional companies.

The motto of this year’s forum is “One Region, One Economy.”
