Prosecution's appeal against the release of Dudakovic
The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed an appeal against the Court’s decision to reject their motion for custody of the former Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Commander of the Fifth Corps Atif Dudakovic and 12 others, suspected of war crimes against the Serb population in the area of Bosanska Krajina (north-west Bosnia).

Dudkovic is also suspected of crimes committed against the civilians in the area of the Autonomous Province of Western Bosnia, a small unrecognised state that existed in the north-west of Bosnia and Herzegovina between 1993 and 1995, during the Bosnian War 1992-1995.
All the 13 suspects were arrested on the orders of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on Friday, April 27th but on April 29th, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina rejected the Prosecution’s motion for a 30-day custody, due to the suspicion that they could influence the witnesses. However, the Court had issued other prohibiting measures against the suspects.
