Interior Minister of the Republika Srpska (RS) entity Dragan Lukac submitted criminal complaints on Friday against blogger Slobodan Vaskovic and Davor Dragicevic, whose son was found dead in the Vrbas river, Banja Luka, in mid-March.
Speaking before the National Assembly of the RS, one of the Bosnia's two semi-autonomous entities a day earlier, Lukac announced he would file the complaints against Vaskovic and Dragicevic, accusing the father of “lying.”
The parents of the 21-year-old Dragicevic whose lifeless body was found in March claimed their son was brutally murdered and that the police was protecting the perpetrators. This prompted mass protests in Banja Luka throughout April, where citizens demanded from authorities to unveil true circumstances of Dragicevic's death.
Minister Lukac dismissed the allegations, accusing the father of “lying.”
“Who has the right to make such grave accusations without any evidence? Everything Davor Dragicevic said is a complete lie,” Lukac added.
On Friday, the minister submitted the criminal complaints against Dragicevic and Vaskovic, who presented a series of accusations against Lukac on his blogspot and through other media outlets.
Lukac said he filed the complaints as a citizen, for various untruths against him, false reporting, manipulations and, as he emphasized, the accusations for complicity in the death of 21-year-old Dragicevic.
