Bosnia is not Croatia's diaspora, it is the other way round, Chairman of a cultural association of Croats in Bosnia Franjo Topic has told N1.
Topic commented on the statement of Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, who said during her visit to Mostar that Bosnia was “the second homeland” to Bosnian Croats.
“Bosnia is my first homeland. I live in Sarajevo, not in Vinkovci,” he added.
Asked if other countries should interfere with developments in Bosnia, he replied this was a “delicate” question and that one should avoid “everything that would add fuel to the fire.”
Commenting on the status of ethnic Croats in Bosnia, Topic explained the life was not the same in different regions.
“It is much more comfortable and easier to live in a monolithic community. It is people's duty to take care of Croats not only where they’re a majority but also where they’re a minority,” said Topic.
