Bulgarian President Rumen Radev hosted a Ramadan dinner in Sofia amid the EU-Western Balkans Summit in Bulgaria’s capital, last night. The dinner was attended by Bosnia’s Presidency Chairman Bakir Izetbegovic as well as numerous diplomats and representatives of different religions present in Bulgaria, and numerous academics.

“Our religions are maybe different in the Balkans, but our values are common and we can live in peace. Different religions in Sarajevo and Sofia continue to coexist in sacred places, museums and cultural monuments,” Radev said, stating that Izetbegovic's presence shows awareness of the responsibilities of the leaders of the Western Balkans.

“As every sacred place has room for everyone, so do our hearts have room for everyone. We just want peace in our lives,” Radev added.
