US Attorney General Jeff Sessions will visit Croatia's capital Zagreb on May 23-25, and will meet with the highest state officials, the US Embassy in Zagreb said in a press release on Tuesday.
Sessions will also take part in a Transnational Organized Crime Regional Workshop held at the Zagreb Police Academy, attended by chiefs of police and chief state prosecutors from six countries of the region.
Officials expected to meet with Sessions include President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, Justice Minister Drazen Bosnjakovic, Interior Minister Davor Bozinovic, and Foreign Ministry senior official Andrea Metelko-Zgombic, the embassy said.
This will be the first official visit by a US Attorney General to Croatia, in which Sessions will discuss bilateral and international law enforcement and judicial cooperation, as well as ways of further strengthening the close law enforcement relationship between the United States and Croatia.
