Leaders of the Independent Bloc and the People and Justice, who recently left the ruling Party of Democratic Action (SDA), registered their parties for the October election on Friday morning. Both parties are open to possible coalitions and partnerships.

Independent Bloc leader Senad Sepic told N1 that the political parties he considered as possible partners before and after the election were those “carrying along new policy, new narrative, new values.”

“We expect changes in Bosnia's election. Generally speaking, people are ready for one new policy and a country that will take the path of stabilization and the road towards the European Union. Current authorities certainly didn't provide that and I believe the change will happen in the October election,” he added.

He confirmed his party would nominate joint candidates with the People and Justice for certain levels of authority, including the candidate for the state Presidency.

People and Justice leader Elmedin Konakovic who, after leaving the ruling SDA also resigned from the post of the Sarajevo Canton Prime Minister, said he was convinced in victory in this canton.

He added that possible partners are those capable of proving the origin of their property and those who could fight for a better country.

Bosnian citizens will cast their vote on October 7 and will elect the members of Bosnia's tripartite Presidency, members of state and entity parliaments as well as cantonal assemblies’ members.
