Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST) is the best university in Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University rankings for 2019 released on Thursday.
SSST broke into top 1,000 best universities of the world, ranking 571st and is the only university from Bosnia included in the list.
“SSST achieved this result on grounds of successful 14-year long work in the field of social, technical and medicinal sciences, plus arts,” said the university.
The best-ranked university on the Quacquarelli Symonds list is Massachusetts Institute for Technology (MIT), followed by Stanford University, Harvard University, California Institute of Technology (CALTECH), Oxford University, and Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.
Universities of Zagreb and Belgrade also made it to the list, ranking between 800th and 1000th.
