The fuel price on gas stations in the Federation, one of two Bosnia's semi-autonomous entities, will go down as of Friday, the Federation's Ministry of Trade confirmed for N1.

Depending on a gas station, the fuel price would decrease by up to 0.10 Bosnian marks (EUR 0.05), said the ministry.

The information was previously confirmed by Trade Minister Zlatan Vujanovic, who met on Tuesday in Mostar with representatives of oil distributors’ companies in Bosnia.

Citizens have been staging protests in several cities across Bosnia every day since Sunday, expressing dissatisfaction with fuel price increase. Roads were first blocked in Tuzla, Banja Luka, Sarajevo and Zenica on Sunday at 5 pm for an hour.

Transportation companies, which initiated the protests, said they would gather the citizens in this way daily at the same time until authorities start listening to their demands. The protesters said an acceptable price for them would be between 1.50 and 1.70 Bosnian marks (EUR 0.75-0.85).

The Ministry of Trade and Tourism of the Republika Srpska (RS) entity announced the price drop as of Thursday. Some gas stations have already reduced the prices by BAM 0.05 on Wednesday.
