Heavy rainfall hit Bosnia's capital city of Sarajevo on Friday afternoon, flooding streets and blocking traffic in the larger part of the city.
N1's reporter said the floods caused traffic collapse in parts of the city, with some drivers being stuck and unable to leave their vehicles due to the rising water level in the streets. Electric public transportation was also out of operation due to the rainfall.
Severe weather hit parts of Serbia and Croatia earlier on Friday, halting the electric public transport and trapping personal cars in the water.
According to the Federal Hydro-meteorological Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina, there is a low chance of precipitation on Saturday morning and the temperature is expected to go up to 26 Celsius degrees.
Municipal authorities of Olovo, a town located in the north of Sarajevo, declared the state of natural disaster in five of its local communities. The floods destroyed bridges in the settlements Dugandzici, Gurdici and Klis, cutting the local residents from the rest of the municipality's territory.
