Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska (RS) entity Zeljka Cvijanovic said the RS government will hold a session Monday, June 25, then they will decide on the 2.5 percent increase of pensions in this entity. The increase relates to June pensions which will be paid in July 2018.

“Apart from the pension increase, we will discuss one more very important agenda item for our society,” the Prime Minister said.

Speaking of a salary increase in the RS, Cvijanovic said the government has been talking about it with the RS employers and unions for a long time and that they went public with this information when they finally made a concept on what this increase would look like in the public and the private sector.

The government did not want to speak of this in public until they saw the analyses results of the situations in the private and the public sector.

“The analyses fit into the projections saying that we have more money than we planned for, so we will have no problem implementing the salary increase,” Cvijanovic said.

She stressed no loans were ever planned for this purpose and that this was an entirely planned move which the government worked on in cooperation with their socio-economic partners in order to cover all the workers in the RS, without any privilege.
