Bosnia’s Presidency member Mladen Ivanic said there is not a single document proving that the announced arrival of 40 British soldiers would cause chaos in the country. His comments come after the Republika Srpska (RS) entity President Milorad Dodik said they are coming to destabilise that entity.
“What a pathetic entity the RS would be if some 40 soldiers could change it,” Ivanic said.
He also asked whether Dodik’s party, the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), which represent themselves as a strong party are afraid of 40 soldiers.
“I’m unable to comprehend that the powerful SNSD who believe in their strength and the historic role of the RS are afraid of some 40 soldiers. However, they haven’t a single document to prove that they came here to cause chaos and destroy the RS, aided by Serb representatives from state-level institutions,” Ivanic noted.
He added that in case he finds any document proving Dodik’s claims he would immediately submit the document to the competent authorities.
“The SNSD and the RS Government are making enemies where ever they can and are thus scaring the people,” he said, adding that they are doing that because they have not opened a single factory or improved the financial position of the RS citizens.
Unlike Dodik, he said, he offers action and stability, and not uncertainty and isolation.
The British daily Times announced recently that 40 British soldiers are coming to Bosnia to prevent Russia's influence on Bosnia’s general election which will take place on October 7, 2018.
