Director for the Western Balkans at the EU Commission’s Directorate-General for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) Genoveva Ruiz Calavera will start a two-day visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday, the EU Delegation announced.

The Commission’s official will, according to the EU Delegation, hold a meeting at the ministerial level within the EU-Bosnia and Herzegovina Structured Dialogue on Justice.

She is set to meet during the visit with the government representatives and attend the final conference on an EU-funded project in the judicial sector.

Bosnia and Herzegovina entered the Structured Dialogue on Justice as the first country to benefit from the new methodology stemming from the Commission’s commitment to advance the structured relations on the rule of law with potential candidates. The tool was developed by the European Commission to support the reforms in the country’s judicial system, bringing it closer to the EU.
