Speaking about the US obligation to defend every NATO member state, President Donald Trump told the Fox News channel that Montenegro was a "tiny country with very strong people, " adding that if they became aggressive, "you are in the World War III.”

Montenegro became NATO’s newest member in June last year.

Trump gave the interview after his European tour during which he took part at the Alliance's summit, visited Great Britain and met his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Finland.
