A growing number of Bosnian tourists is spending their summer vacations on Montenegrin coast, according to the National Tourist Organisation of Montenegro. Only the last summer, Bosnians made over a million overnight stays in that country.
The number of tourists from Bosnia and Herzegovina is expected to increase by ten percent as the tourism offer, according to the Tourist Organisation, has significantly improved in terms of accommodation, cultural, fun and other contents.
“Continuous efforts in the improvement of the offer and overall tourism infrastructure, traffic accessibility as well as capital investment projects in the tourism sector have put Montenegro high on the scale of tourism investment per capita,” the Tourism Organisation said.
Goran Lekovic, an owner of four-starred accommodation complex in the coastal town of Sutomore, claims the tourists from Bosnia pick Montenegro as their vacation destination mostly for the prices which are, compared to the rest of the region, competitive and because of the quality connectivity between the two countries.
A few surveyed families from different towns in Bosnia say they were happy with the offer on the Montenegrin coast.
“The price of accommodation, hotel service, beaches, perfect gastronomic offer, fun… It altogether contributes to our enjoyment in the vacation,” said Zoran and Vesna Zaric, a young couple from the northern town of Bijeljina.
Semija and Zlatko Sejdic from Zenica, a town in central Bosnia, said they were spending their summer vacation in Montenegro for five years in the row now.
“Montenegrin coast is magnificent, while the prices and offer are fair,” they noted.
According to the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), Montenegro is among the fastest developing tourist destinations in the world. Some respectable foreign media were mentioning this country the last year as an ideal destination for a summer vacation, for an active rest in nature and parks of nature, as well as numerous other contents that make the tourist offer in Montenegro.
