Croat opposition party leader, Ilija Cvitanovic, said he was convinced in the election victory of his party, the Croat Democratic Union 1990 (HDZ 1990), candidate for the Bosnia’s tripartite Presidency this October.
“We fight for the national interests of Croats. We want a legitimate representative of Croats to be elected,” said Cvitanovic for N1.
He called on Bosniaks not to support another Croat candidate, Zeljko Komsic, who previously won two terms in office of the Croat member of the Presidency as a member of civil parties and owing mostly to the votes of Bosniaks. Croats seem him as an illegitimate representative of the Bosnian Croats because he was elected mostly by Bosniak voters.
“I call on Bosniaks not to vote for Komsic. We nominated Diana Zelenika as a candidate for the member of Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency not to get out of unity but to get out of single-mindedness,” added HDZ 1990 leader.
Cvitanovic believes HDZ 1990 will be part of authorities after the October election.
The citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina will cast their vote in the general election this October, electing the members of Bosnia’s tripartite presidency, entity presidents as well as the members of the state, entity and cantonal parliaments.
