Bosnia’s Presidency Chairman Bakir Izetbegovic received the men’s sitting volleyball team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, congratulating them on the second place at the world championship in the Netherlands. He stressed that their every team's success evokes special emotions in all Bosnian patriots.
In a pleasant and friendly conversation, the team members told Izetbegovic some of the details from the championship, especially from the game against team Russia, in the quarterfinals, for which they said was the most demanding game both physically and mentally.
They said the result they achieved in the Netherlands represents a continuity of the great results they constantly achieve and that it will be an incentive for younger players to continue with good games and remarkable results.
Bosnia’s sitting volleyball team is the most successful national team with 21 medals won at major competitions.
Some of the medals are gold medals at 2004 and 2012 Paralympics, gold medals at 2002, 2006 and 2014 world championships and nine gold medals at European championships held from 1999 to 2015.
