Republika Srpska entity President Milorad Dodik responded to the criticism by the Office of the High Representative and the US Embassy concerning the non-adoption of the Criminal Procedure Code during Friday session of the House of Peoples, rejecting any criticism and saying that anyone who sides with foreign diplomats, ends up being a loser.
“I want to express my satisfaction with the fact that the Serb Caucus in the House of Peoples (of Bosnia and Herzegovina) led by the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) and the Democratic People’s Alliance (DNS) acted homogeneously, compactly and that they were united on all matters,” Dodik said. “I reject any objection from the High Representative who doesn’t do anything else but further complicates the situation and who interferes in our business and claims that the SNSD is allegedly responsible for the fact that the Criminal Procedure Code wasn’t adopted.”

“For the past 20 years, we’ve been saying that they (foreign diplomats) are the thieves who imposed the Law on the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the State Prosecution. They should make their own caucus in the Parliament. Whoever sides with the foreigners (in Bosnia) ends up being the loser,” Dodik added.
The OHR and the US Embassy in Sarajevo said, Friday, that they regret the fact that the Law was not adopted even after all the dates for its adoption have passed and accused the Croat Democratic Union (HDZ BiH), the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), the Democratic National Alliance (DNS), and the Croat Peasant Party (HSS) of being “more interested in party politics than protecting the safety and security of Bosnian citizens.”
The Office of the High Representative oversees the civilian implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement which ended the war in Bosnia (1992-1995).
