RS President: EU cannot lecture us on humanity

The Republika Srpska entity plans to appoint an operational body whose task will be to track the entry, movement and departure of migrants from the territory of this Bosnian entity, Milorad Dodik, the RS President said after the ruling coalition meeting. In his view, the EU has failed the test of humanity.

We agreed to appoint an operative body that will include all the RS institutions, whose task will be to establish the entry point of migrants into the RS, then to track their movement on the territory of the RS and their departure from the RS,” the RS President said. “They can accuse us of whatever they want, but we’ve seen the EU’s humanity towards the migrants. They’ve sealed their borders and they are lecturing us about humanity.”

He said that EU officials can talk about humanity only when they open their own borders and receive the migrants.

There will be no migrant centres here. That’s out of the question. They should know that this is the will of the majority of our people. Whoever is hungry, they will be fed, but we don’t want the incompetent (state) Government and individuals to create any future solutions for us,” Dodik stressed.

At the meeting, which was attended by leaders of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), Milodar Dodik, the Democratic People’s Alliance (DNS), Marko Pavic, and the Socialist Party of Republika Srpska (SPRS), Petar Djokic, interlocutors also concluded that the financial situation in this Serb-dominated entity is stable, that they did a lot to improve the living conditions of RS residents and that the construction of important infrastructure projects is underway.

The coalition has no doubt about their victory at the upcoming October general election.
