Kosovo leaders have no right to discuss on behalf of Kosovo any kind of autonomy or a Republika Srpska within Kosovo, the Kosovo official told, Chairman of Social-Democratic Initiative and Deputy Prime Minister, Fatmir Limaj, told Kosovapress news agency.

“We cannot accept and allow the creation of a ‘Republika Srpska’ in Kosovo, under no circumstances. Kosovo is more important than its institutional leaders and Kosovo citizens will not accept such a solution. We will not accept such a thing,” said Limaj, carried by Gazetaexpress news portal.

The Kosovo official said that what happened in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the country divided along ethnic lines, cannot happen in Kosovo. Kosovo, according to Limaj, is a different reality and it will not be allowed to be divided as Bosnia.

Talking about the final phase of the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Limaj said it has not started yet.

According to him, the final phase of the dialogue means a legally-binding agreement, which leads to recognition of both countries, and it will not be lead by an individual, but a negotiating team composed of the ruling and opposition parties as well as civil society representatives.
