The Federal Republic of Germany will provide EUR 190,000 this year for the marking and registration of weapons in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the German Embassy in Sarajevo announced.
Chargé d'affaires of the German Embassy to Bosnia and Herzegovina Christian Sedat and project manager of the HALO Trust non-profit organisation in Bosnia Alexander Maier will sign an agreement on Friday on the allocation of the said amount.
In this way, Germany financially supports the marking and registration of a one hundred percent inventory of military stockpiles in 2018.
During the project, the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina are being trained for the weapon marking and registration, while the overall process is monitored by the EUFOR, the European Union's military deployment in Bosnia overseeing the military implementation of the Dayton Peace Accords which ended the 1992-95 Bosnian war.
German government provided some EUR 150,000 last year for the same project, which initially started the last year and is expected to end in 2019, the German Embassy said.
