Two persons died in a train accident that took place near the southern town of Jablanica late Wednesday night, the local police confirmed to N1.
According to unofficial information, the accident happened after one of the trains passed through the red light and collided directly with another train.
Ljudevit Maric, Spokesperson for the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Ministry of Interior, told N1 that two persons were in each of the trains.
“J.C. and F.T. died, and H.K. sustained life-threatening injuries,” Maric said.
The traffic has been suspended and will be closed until the investigation on the site is over.
Unofficially, one person jumped out of the train right before the accident and has survived the crash.
