Prosecutor's Office: Attack on Kovacevic is attempted murder

Kovacevic was physically assaulted Sunday evening in front of the building where he lives I Banja Luka, when two still unidentified men approached him and, as Kovacevic described, started beating him with expandable batons.

The Prosecutor’s Office briefly said earlier on Monday the investigation was underway and later during the day its spokesperson, Maja Djakovic, confirmed for N1 that the attack will be treated as the attempted murder.

Media associations and foreign institutions condemned the attack and urged the competent institutions to find the perpetrators and to create conditions for uninterrupted work of journalists.
