Bosnia’s Presidency Chairman met with the King of Jordan his Royal Highness Abdullah II and stressed Bosnia’s role in the fight against terrorism. He recognised Jordan’s contribution to the defence of civilised values against terrorism.
Presidency Chairman Bakir Izetbegovic thanked King Abdullah II for the Jordanian aid in the reconstruction of Bosnia and the role the Royal family played in proclaiming the Old bridge in Mostar a symbol of peace, as well as their support for the establishment of the International College in Mostar.
During the talks, the two stressed the historically friendly relations between the two countries and peoples.
Izetbegovic also stressed that two societies such as Bosnian and Jordanian societies have a rich cultural heritage and are able to play a significant role in the promotion of inter-religious dialogue, cultural exchange and prevention of the spread of violent extremism.
At the end of the visit of Bosnia's delegation to Jordan, Chairman Izetbegovic invited King Abdullah II to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina, which he gladly accepted.
