Serbia’s national Health Care Institute has reported six more West Nile virus-related deaths in the week since its latest report, the Beta news agency reported on Wednesday.
According to the latest report from the Health Care Institute, the number of deaths from virus-related causes now stands at 21 with a total of 213 cases of West Nile virus reported to date.
The largest number of reported cases is in Belgrade (108), the report said.
The West Nile virus is transmitted by mosquitoes.
