Bosnian Amna Basic has won first place in the junior competition of the OMC Hairworld hairdressing championship in Paris, France, on Monday, while the entire team from Bosnia and Herzegovina came in third, which represents the best result the country has ever achieved in this competition.
Another Bosnian competitor, Selma Rakovac, came in fifth at the championship.
This is the first time someone from Bosnia comes in first in this competition, member of Bosnia’s Hairdressers’ Association, Elvir Bajric, told N1.
‘This is a surprise,’ he said, adding that nobody is sponsoring the participation of Bosnia’s team in the competition and that the association gathers the necessary funds itself.
