The upcoming visit by Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Bosnia will be important for the future development of relations between the two countries, Bosnia’s Foreign Minister Igor Crnadak told Russian Ambassador Petar Ivantsov on Thursday.
Lavrov will spend September 16 and 17 in Sarajevo and in Banja Luka, the administrative centre of Republika Srpska (RS), Bosnia’s Serb-dominated part, where he will attend the ceremonial setting of the first cornerstone of a Russian-Serbian culture centre.
Ambassador Ivantsov also met with the President of the semi-autonomous Serb-dominated entity, Milorad Dodik, in Eastern Sarajevo. The two spoke about ongoing issues in Bosnia and the RS.
