Bosian film director Dino Mustafic won the Best Director award at the 33rd Festival of International Alternative Theatre (FIAT) in Podgorica.

The jury made a unanimous decision to award him with the Best Director award for his work in the play “Mother and Child,” produced by the M.A.M. Foundation of Contemporary Art from Tirana.

“The prize is awarded for the integrity of the autonomous concept that was rich with creative imagination, which he achieved with minimal resources. The storm of emotions that was born in the relationship between the mother and son accompanied by accurate and effective theatrical solutions make the aesthetics avant-garde,” said the jury chaired by choreographer Sonja Vukicevic (Serbia), actress Zana Gardasevic Bulatovic (Montenegro) and director Andrej Cvetanovski (Macedonia).

The festival lasted September 7-16 and it showed 10 plays with very convincing and diverse aesthetics.

With a multitude of accompanying multimedia programs ranging from film to literature, the audience greeted all the performances with great interest.
