The Central Election Commission (CIK) has received 303 complaints regarding possible election fraud, CIK spokesperson Maksida Piric told the SRNA news agency.
“The CIK has a legal obligation to inform the Prosecutors’ Office if there is the suspicion that a criminal act was committed,” she said.
This is done periodically when CIK puts together documentation regarding these complaints, she explained.
The CIK has on Wednesday informed the Prosecutor’s Office of potential criminal acts committed in connection with the registration of my mail voters in Odzak, Orasje and Doboj.
To prevent such eventual fraud, the Commission will provide local election commissions with lists of voters who are registered to vote by mail.
“We have started sending out the lists and the instructions this morning and this will be done by the end of the day,” Piric said.
The Central Election Commission has decided to make the lists available to the citizens through the local commissions who would also report eventual regularities back by October 6, one day before the election is scheduled.
