Serbia is the most important country for the stability in this region, while its president clearly noted Serbia was ready to protect its freedom and its people, including the Republika Srpska (RS), said Milorad Dodik, Bosnian Serb leader.
Dodik and Serbia's Defence Minister, Aleksandar Vulin, met Thursday in the northeastern Bosnian town of Bijeljina, where they visited Orao factory and announced the changes in the company's shareholding structure. Namely, the Government of Serbia is to decide on a state enterprise that would take 50 percent of shares in the Bijeljina-based factory doing the overhaul of the turbojet engines.
“I believe the bright future is coming for Orao,” said Dodik, who is the President of RS, Bosnia's Serb-dominated entity. He pointed out that Serbia is demonstrating a progress in terms of the army modernisation and that this is, according to Dodik, where the RS sees a chance to be part of that success.
Serbia's Minister said during his Bijeljina visit that Orao was one of the strategically important companies for development of the aviation sector in Serbia. This is why, Vulin said, Serbia invested more than EUR 3 million in jobs with Orao.
Republika Srpska can count on every help and support as long as Aleksandar Vucic is the President of Serbia, he stressed.
“We will always prioritise the jobs with the companies from RS, which can peacefully and safely rely on the Defence Ministry and the Government of Serbia,” Vulin concluded.
