Russia's Foreign Affairs Minister, Sergey Lavrov, will reiterate support to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as support to the constitutional competencies of Bosnia's two entities and equality of its three peoples, the Foreign Ministry's spokesperson said on Thursday ahead of Lavrov's visit to Bosnia.
Maria Zakharova said on Thursday the minister would meet Bosnia's leadership to discuss the bilateral relations and the situation in the Balkans and the world.
“During the working visit to Sarajevo, Lavrov will meet the members of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Presidency, and the Foreign Affairs Minister,” Zakharova told a press conference.
She also confirmed Lavrov would meet Milorad Dodik, the President of Bosnia's Serb-dominated entity, Republika Srpska (RS), and attend a ceremony of laying the cornerstone for an Orthodox monastery in the city of Banja Luka.
Media earlier reported that Serbia's Foreign Affairs Minister, Ivica Dacic, would also arrive in Banja Luka to meet Russian official.
