China’s Biggest shipping company, COSCO Shipping Lines opened its Sarajevo office which is their fourth regional office. The Sarajevo office was opened within the “One Belt – One Road” initiative.

The COSCO Shipping is the leading shipping company in the world with more than 1,100 vessels.

The General Manager of the Dragon Maritime company, Vladimir Lekic, through which the Chinese COSCO does business in South-East Europe, said Bosnia and Herzegovina is an interesting market because it is able to use different entrance ports for the market.

The company currently uses the Rijeka port in Croatia but they plan to expand their services to the Port Ploce which is very significant and important for this company.

The COSCO Shipping Lines is a Chinese state-owned company seated in Shanghai, specializing in international and domestic cargo shipping and related services.

The company operates on 362 international and local shipping lines and it is connected to 289 ports in 90 countries in the world.
