The opening of the hospital “Srbija” marks the end of a period marked by tremendous efforts by the Republika Srpska (RS) entity government in solving all the infrastructure problems in the city of Istocno Sarajevo, RS President Milorad Dodik said during the opening ceremony.

“With equally tremendous help from Serbia and Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic, we are finishing the construction works on the theatre in this town, new facilities in Pale (a town near Sarajevo), and many other projects across the RS,” said the President of this semi-autonomous, Serb-dominated entity.

He added that Vucic helped without hesitation and that he was sorry that Serbian President was unable to attend the opening ceremony.

“He is a man who loves the RS and Serb people, especially the Serbs from the RS,” the RS President said.

“This hospital will serve all the people who need help. This facility will serve all the generations to come,” he added.

According to him, the RS now has the best hospital system in the region.
