The Vice President of Kosovo’s Government and the head of the “Initiative - Social Democracy” announced on Sunday that Kosovo will form an army by the end of this year.

Fatmir Ljimaj said that the legislation introducing the Kosovo army will most likely be passed end of November.

“It is up to us to pass laws regarding Kosovo’s security forces. Kosovo will have an army by the end of next month in harmony with parliamentary procedures,” Ljimaj said in Prizren.

He repeated that the “territory and the independence of Kosovo” are not negotiable and that Kosovo will never accept any solutions similar to that of Republika Srpska, the Serb-dominated semi-autonomous region in Bosnia.
