The leader of Bosnia’s Croat Democratic Union (HDZ) met with the newly elected Serb member of Bosnia’s tripartite Presidency and leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) where they discussed plans for a coalition between them, HDZ’s Dragan Covic tweeted on Monday.
The HDZ leader Covic and the SNSD leader Milorad Dodik had already announced they will form a coalition in May this year.
Bosnia’s Presidency is composed of three members, each representing one of the three majority ethnic groups living in the country – Bosniaks, Croats, and Serbs.
Covic ran for reelection as the Croat Presidency member but lost to left-leaning political opponent Zeljko Komsic.
Dodik, on the other hand, won the election for the Bosnian Serb Presidency post.
