The HDZ leader Covic and the SNSD leader Milorad Dodik had already announced they will form a coalition in May this year.

Bosnia’s Presidency is composed of three members, each representing one of the three majority ethnic groups living in the country - Bosniaks, Croats, and Serbs.

Covic ran for reelection as the Croat Presidency member but lost to left-leaning political opponent Zeljko Komsic.
