Interpol has issued a red warrant for Sarajevo resident Aldin Alibasic, who left for Syria in 2013 together with several more nationals of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

27-year-old Alibasic, also known as Abu Omer, is sought by the international police for organising a terrorist group in accordance with the criminal act of terrorism, said the warrant.

A red notice is a request to locate and provisionally arrest an individual pending extradition. It is issued by the Interpol General Secretariat at the request of a member country or an international tribunal based on a valid national arrest warrant.
