Two persons died and several were injured in a traffic accident near the southern Bosnian town of Nevesinje on Saturday, travelling on a bus that operated between Belgrade and Mostar, the police confirmed for N1.
The accident occurred early Saturday morning after the bus came off the road for still unknown reasons. Unofficially, the bus was carrying about 20 passengers.
Emergency support crew were sent to the site of the accident and the police investigation is ongoing.
Heavy snow that started falling late Friday night in parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina caused major difficulties in traffic in the country.
Public transportation services in the capital of Sarajevo were not operating for a few hours due to an electric supply problem.
The traffic was also suspended on a Sarajevo-Zenica highway section, near the town of Visoko, due to a traffic accident.
Bosnian motoring club BIHAMK providing roadside assistance called drivers for caution and to avoid the unnecessary use of vehicles due to snowy and slippery roads in larger parts of the country.
