“The streets will not decide on political relations in the Republika Srpska (RS) entity,” said Bosnian Serb Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik during his New Year press conference. The Serb leader also added that the ‘Justice for David’ movement was politically motivated.
Dodik, who is also the leader of the strongest political party in this Serb dominated entity, the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), said that Davor Dragicevic’sremands are aimed at “toppling of the RS, which will not and cannot happen,” because the RS was made by the will of the Serb people. He requested Dragicevic shows him the evidence of the responsibility of those whom he wants to be dismissed.

Speaking about the ‘Justice for David’ movement, he said it was politically motivated with clear political aspirations and demands.
“The movement was infiltrated by representatives of opposition parties who are trying to make up for their election loss,” Dodik said.
“Ten years ago, the Bosnian justice system was reformed by the High Representative and the international community. I’m not the one who elects and dismissed judges and prosecutors. No RS institution ever elected a single judge or a prosecutor, and we can’t request their responsibility to our institutions,” Dodik noted.
Bosnia and Herzegovina consists of two semi-autonomous entities, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) shared by Bosniaks and Croats and the Republika Srpska. The institution of the High Representative was set by the Dayton Peace Agreement, and its main function is to oversee the civilian implementation of the Agreement that ended the war in Bosnia (1992-1995).
