Significant quantities of arms and drugs were seized in the central Bosnian towns of Travnik and Bugojno over the past two days, while several persons were detained for illegal possession of the weapon and drug abuse, the Central Bosnia Canton Interior Ministry said on Friday.
Acting upon the order of Bugojno Municipal Court, the police raided a house in central Bugojno, discovering a half kilo of narcotics, a digital scale and other equipment used for production and sale of drugs.
The same court ordered a raid in Han Bila, a settlement on the territory of the neighbouring town of Travnik, where the police found weapon and drugs and detained four persons under suspicion of drug abuse and illegal possession of the weapon.
In cooperation with cantonal prosecutor's office, the detainees were subjected to the procedures stipulated by the law.
The police made no mention of whether there is a connection between the two raids.
