Bosnia’s High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC), the body overseeing the work of Bosnia’s judiciary, has named Gordana Tadic Bosnia’s Head Prosecutor on Wednesday.
Tadic ran against two other candidates. Nine out of the 15 HJPC members voted for her.
The Head of the OSCE Mission in Bosnia, Bruce Berton, welcomed the decision.
“The Mission hopes that the Chief Prosecutor will commit to ensuring a strong, transparent, independent and effective judiciary in BiH capable of addressing the challenges to the country’s stability, including corruption,” Berton's statement said.
