Bosnia, Croatia and US ranked 47th on Spartacus Gay Travel Index for 2019

According to the Spartacus Gay Travel Index for 2019, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and the US share the 47th place on the list of most friendly countries for LGBTI tourists.

The first place is shared by Sweden, Canada and Portugal, while the fourth place is shared by 12 European countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Reunion, Spain, United Kingdom), and New Zealand.

The Berlin-based Spartacus International Gay Guide published its annual LGBTI guide for 197 countries of the world where it analysed antidiscrimination laws, marriage and civil partnership laws, adoption laws, transgender rights and persecution or death penalty.

Apart from Bosnia and Croatia, the Spartacus Index ranked Slovenia at 28th place, together with South Africa.

Spartacus said the least friendly country is Chechnya, which was places 197th, while the bottom five are Somalia, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Yemen.
