Governments of Serbia and Bosnia's Republika Srpska (RS) entity signed four agreements on cooperation in the 10th joint session the two governments held Thursday in Belgrade.

The signed agreements and memorandums stipulate cooperation in sectors of technological development and digitalisation, scholarships for young talents, inspection controls and European integration.

“I am happy that the sessions are becoming more often and regular, and the results are not missing either. We record a constant growth of exchange in the economy. We had an exchange of €1.87 billion with Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2018, and we're getting closer to two billion (Euro) and 70 percent of that is with Republika Srpska,” Serbia's Prime Minister, Ana Brnabic, told media after the session.

Prime Minister of Bosnia's Serb-dominated Republika Srpska entity said the two governments agreed they would continue the cooperation, which will intensify, especially in the energy and transportation sectors.

Radovan Viskovic thanked Serbian Prime Minister and President for the assistance Serbia provided for residents of the RS as well as the Serb-populated areas in Bosnia's Federation (FBiH) entity.

“Citizens of the Republika Srpska know how to appreciate that,” head of the RS Government said addressing a press conference in Belgrade.

Brnabic announced that the year 2019 will be crucial for traffic connectivity of Serbia and the Republika Srpska, i.e. Bosnia and Herzegovina, recalling that talks on construction of the Belgrade-Sarajevo motorway are about to finish.

The session which resulted in several agreements on cooperation in various sectors also discussed the conclusions of the 9th session held in Bosnia's southern town of Trebinje last year.
