A rarely seen street performance in Sarajevo’s central part announced on Saturday a comedy festival ‘Laugh is the cure’ which opens on the first day of April in the Bosnian capital.
Members of the circus group ‘Master and Margarita’ from Novi Sad, Serbia, were the main actor of the performance.
“We hope everyone liked this carnival,” said Marko Drazic, one of the entertainers.
“This is our second time in Sarajevo, we liked it a lot, the audience is great. We’re here to announce a comedy festival, to help our fellow actors to attract as many people as possible to come to the event,” added Aleksandra Kocanova, the circus group member.
Majorettes from the southern town of Capljina joined the programme and opened the performance.
The event was held under auspices of the Culture and Youth Centre, the only organisation initiating such festivals. Their goal is, the organisers say, to make the people laugh, which is what they need the most these days.
