The Old Mosque in Godusa, near the central town of Visoko, is now one of the country’s national monuments, following Thursday’s decision by the Commission to Preserve National Monuments.
The stone mosque was built in 1565 and 1566 and is located on a hill overlooking Godusa. It has a square foundation and a wooden ceiling. The minaret has a circle base.
Next to the mosque is a graveyard where locals are still being buried.
