Hundreds of runners joined a humanitarian race in central Sarajevo on Saturday, marking the autism awareness month and raising awareness of autism spectrum.
5K Spring Run is now a traditional event which last two years raised over 60,000 Bosnian marks (approx €30,000) for this cause.
The participants who run and walk a five-kilometre-long route in the central streets of Sarajevo “sell” their kilometres in the campaign symbolically called ‘I run for someone with autism’ and donate the collected money for the promotion of autism awareness.
The organiser, Sarajevo Marathon Association, said this year's Spring Run was the largest so far.
