The parliament of Republika Srpska (RS), Bosnia's Serb-majority region, included the issue of recent murders on its territory in the agenda of its regular session but decided to keep the discussion behind closed doors.
The RS National Assembly will not convene in a special session to discuss the murders but will talk about the issue in a regular session set to take place on Thursday, the parliament's leadership decided.
RS Internal Affairs Minister Dragan Lukac informed the lawmakers about the police activities and the results of ongoing investigations into the recent murders of police officer Sladjenko Tubin and businessman Slavisa Krunic his bodyguard, which left one of the attackers dead as well.
Krunic, the owner of several enterprises including security agency ‘Sector Security’ and bakery chain ‘Zitopeka’, was killed on Monday alongside one of his associates in what appeared to be an ambush near his house in the suburbs of Banja Luka, the administrative centre of Bosnia’s Serb-majority part.

Minister Lukac asked for support to the police in shedding light upon the circumstances around these two events.
“Large-scale actions don't bring big results, it is necessary to work in a systematic manner,” he said.
