Floods in Bosnia: Armed Forces on standby mode, ready to provide assistance

Bosnian Armed Forces and Defence Ministry put all available capacities in standby mode for possible interventions that civilian structures and citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina may need in fighting the floods that parts of the country are facing since Monday.

The Armed Forces are the last in the line to be activated when all other options have been exhausted in the procedure of reacting to natural and other disasters.

Citizens are advised to dial 121 in case of emergency and need for assistance during natural disasters. If the civil protection authorities are not able to provide help, they will forward the call to the Ministry of Security and further to the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces.
